What Later Life Direct provides

Later Life Direct is a comparison and referral platform. We help people find and contact funeral directors. We do not provide funeral services ourselves.

When you submit an enquiry, we pass your details to the funeral director you selected. Any contract for funeral services is between you and that funeral director directly. Later Life Direct is not a party to that contract.

Enquiry disclaimer

Later Life Direct is not a funeral director. We pass your enquiry on; we are not involved in the services they provide.

We take no responsibility for the quality, pricing, or conduct of any funeral director listed on this platform. If you have a complaint about a funeral director, contact them directly or raise it with the National Association of Funeral Directors (NAFD) or the Society of Allied and Independent Funeral Directors (SAIF).

Listing on Later Life Direct does not constitute an endorsement of any funeral director.

Accuracy of listings

We make reasonable efforts to keep listings accurate, but information is sourced from publicly available data and may not always reflect current details.

Always contact the funeral director directly to verify services, pricing, and availability. If you spot an error in a listing, please let us know via our contact page.

Your conduct

You may not use Later Life Direct to:

• Scrape, harvest, or systematically copy listing data by automated means.
• Submit false, misleading, or test enquiries to funeral directors.
• Impersonate another person or organisation.
• Send unsolicited commercial communications to funeral directors found through this platform.
• Take any action that could damage, overload, or interfere with the platform or its infrastructure.

We reserve the right to block access for anyone who breaches these rules.

Intellectual property

The curation, design, code, and structure of Later Life Direct are owned by Later Life Direct. You may not reproduce, redistribute, or use them commercially without our written permission.

Listings are compiled from publicly available data about funeral directors. Factual information about individual businesses (addresses, phone numbers, service descriptions) is not owned by Later Life Direct. However, the way we have compiled, presented, and structured that data is our intellectual property.

Limitation of liability

Later Life Direct is provided ‘as is’ and ‘as available’. We do not guarantee that the platform will be error-free or uninterrupted.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.

Subject to the above, to the maximum extent permitted by law, we exclude all liability for indirect, consequential, or economic loss arising from your use of this platform or your reliance on any listing. This includes loss arising from a funeral director failing to respond to your enquiry, providing inaccurate information, or delivering services that do not meet your expectations.

A link from Later Life Direct to another website is not an endorsement of that site or the business behind it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.

We may update these terms at any time. The date at the top of this page shows when they were last revised.

Continued use of Later Life Direct after a change has been published means you accept the updated terms. If you do not accept the changes, please stop using the platform.
