Our commitment

Later Life Direct is committed to ensuring that our website is accessible to all users, including those with disabilities. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standard.

What we have done

  • Minimum touch targets of 48px on all interactive elements.
  • Semantic HTML with correct heading hierarchy.
  • ARIA labels and roles on interactive and navigation components.
  • Colour contrast ratios meeting WCAG AA requirements.
  • Keyboard navigable forms and interactive elements with visible focus indicators.
  • Reduced motion support. Animations are disabled when the user has indicated a preference.
  • Live regions (“aria-live”) for dynamic content such as form confirmation messages.
