“I have to write about Katie (from unruly, flowers, who with Poetic Endings) an artist whose choice of material is flora. I envisioned a blanket of flora to falling softly over the willow coffin. The words MUM & NAN gently emerging out of greenery. I'd not met Katie prior to our meeting onliine, but as we spoke I knew I'd met the person who could deliver an idea. I did not need to be prescriptive. I wanted her to feel free to make the choices based on her knowledge of the material she works with. I felt I could trust her creativity. What she delivered was utterly beautiful- natural, softly complimenting the willow coffin and our dear mother's love of gardens. -Sandra”

“Imagine how many different ideas 7 siblings can have on any subject, let alone burying our mother in her 100th year. Thankfully that we wanted the same thing a feeling that we were saying goodbye to our dear mother -and that ceremony itself would lie softly beneath that. Our vision was very much of someone who loved gardens, flowers, early mornings and was most comfortable within her family. From the 1st meeting with Louise and Angela of 'Poetic Endings', we knew we felt we were in good hands. Our desire for a truly personal goodbye was achievable. The whole experience, the planning, the people they matched us with: the celebrant, the florist. The willow coffin with its blanket of flowers, captured gentle joy of our mother in amongst plants. Carrying her coffin was so special. Louise guided us throughout. It felt right that we would be the ones doing this. The whole experience was more uplifting than I could have hoped.”

“We were blessed to have found Poetic Endings to handle my beloved mother’s funeral. From the start Louise and Angela and team guided us through the process with such gentleness. We felt we heard and listen to. No effort was spaced to find the right celebrant for the family to lead the service and the willow coffin and flowers were just beautiful. We chose to have family members as pallbears and Louise was there to guide them every step of the way. “Poetic Endings, the perfect name, for the most unique, attentive and thoughtful funeral directors. From beginning to end Louise, Isabel and the team were simply wonderful and they handled the funeral of our incredible mum, Sylvia Young OBE, with proficiency, understanding and great care. The funeral procession from Mum’s school to the church was lead beautifully by Louise, walking with such elegance, in front of the classic 1950’s hearse. Poignant and powerful. We know our mother would have been so proud of the wonderful service celebrating her life. There were over one thousand attendees but Poetic Endings made it all run smoothly, taking away any stress we might have had, allowing us to simply embrace the chance to say goodbye to our Mum.
